From 3 February 2022, we will no longer be partnering with our underwriter Hollard Australia for Home, Motor or Landlord insurance. That means, from this date we won’t be able to offer renewal on existing Hollard policies because the products will no longer exist. We are planning to offer alternative policies using another underwriter and will publish more information about this once the details are confirmed.

What you need to know

Policy cover will end at the current end date on your Certificate of Insurance (COI).
Kogan Insurance is working with a new underwriter to continue offering you the most competitive value for your car, home, landlord and travel insurance needs, and will be in touch when our new insurance offers are available.
We will also update the website with the new policies when they are launched.

What happens next?

You’ll receive an email with the details of when your policy is ending. You can also check your COI for the current end date.

What you need to do

If your current policy is ending soon, you will need to find a replacement policy as the last thing we want is for you to be left without any cover.
We are planning to offer alternative policies using another underwriter and will be in touch with you if and when we have a new policy available. In the meantime, for help finding a replacement policy, you can visit the Insurance Council of Australia at www.insurancecouncil.com.au. They’ll be able to direct you to an insurance provider who can help you find the right policy for you.

FAQs

Will my policy end on 3 February 2022?

We won’t be cancelling policies before their end date.
The end date of your policy can be found in your Certificate of Insurance (COI). It’s on the front page, under the Your Policy Renewal Summary heading with the exclamation mark.

What happens if I need to make a claim?

If you need to make a claim for an insured event or incident that happened during your Kogan insurance policy period while Kogan was still underwritten by Hollard (you can find the information in the footer of your COI), you can lodge your claim the usual way:

Phone: 1300 034 888
Fax: +61 2 8867 6797

For new car insurance claims email: newclaims@hollard.com.au
For new home, contents and landlords insurance claims email: homeclaims@hollard.com.au

What do I do if I need to make any changes to or cancel my policy after 3 February?

We’re here to help and you will still be able to make changes or cancel your policy during the policy period. Please contact us to discuss your needs.

Phone: 1300 034 888
Email: customerservice@koganinsurance.com.au

Is Kogan still offering Home, Landlords and Motor insurance?

We are planning to offer these policies after 3 February 2022 using another underwriter and will publish this information on our website once it is available.

Will this renewal decline affect me getting insurance in the future?

It shouldn’t, since the reason for not renewing is because the policy or product no longer exists. It’s not something you’ve done. If you’re not sure about how to answer any questions when you’re applying for a new policy, you should call the insurer you’re applying to and ask.

How can I get a replacement policy?

For help finding a replacement policy, you can visit the Insurance Council of Australia at www.insurancecouncil.com.au. They’ll be able to direct you to an insurance provider who can help you find the right policy for you.

What should I do if I have a complaint?

If you have a complaint or dispute, we are committed to resolving it as quickly as possible. Please refer to the complaints process on our website for more information.
